Scrub Up

by | Apr 22, 2020 | Updates

With the recent cholera outbreak in Harare, Lake Harvest would like to assure its consumers that we have stringent measures in place when it comes to Personnel Hygiene and Bio-security.

Our standard operations and procedures for hygiene are broken down in the following steps :

All staff and visitors who enter the processing plant fill in the Attendance/Visitors log book. They then dip their feet in the bactericidal foot dip and vehicles pass through the Wheel bath.

Hands are then washed with bactericidal soap. Staff then insert their forefinger in the bio-metric slot, if you’re visiting, this is bypassed and any visitors will then proceed to Health Office for further procedures.

Clean scrub suits are collected and staff then shower and change into them. Footwear in the form of gumboots are worn, washed and scrubbed in the factory lobby before they enter the plant.

Hands are washed with antibacterial liquid in the Factory lobby before they proceed to collect their apron.

After the apron has been put on, staff member’s hands are then dipped in hand chlorine in the reception hall.

Staff will then be permitted to enter our processing plant after all these procedures are done.
